Job summary

This role is hands-on with driving sales, controlling expenses, maintaining inventory accuracy, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to perform cash register functions to generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to labor laws; ensures store is properly staffed.
• Provides training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps and counsels or terminates if needed.
• Communicates performance and safety expectations; coordinates meetings to promote safety and policies.
• Ensures store is opened and closed properly; maintains staffing levels throughout shifts.
• Evaluates operating statements for sales, profitability, and inventory issues; identifies opportunities.
• Manages ordering and replenishment; reviews plans and cycle counts weekly.
• Stocking and merchandising: ensures correct presentation, pricing, and signage.
• Maintains accurate inventory and controls shrink, damages, and paperwork.
• Ensures financial integrity through cash control and security practices.
• Delivers superior customer service leadership and a clean, safe store environment.
