Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to oversee all store processes, staffing, and daily operations. You will ensure ordering, receiving, stocking, merchandising, and customer service meet company standards.

Responsibilities include recruiting, training, evaluating staff, and enforcing cashier accountability and safety policies. The role requires strong leadership in a fast-paced retail environment and regular store scheduling involvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, and retain qualified employees per laws and company policies.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and counsel or terminate as needed.
• Make recommendations on pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Staff and open/close store as required (min 2 times per week).
• Monitor store performance: sales, profitability, inventory accuracy, and shrink.
• Manage ordering to meet in-stock targets; review weekly plans and cycles counts.
• Facilitate staging, stocking, and storage of merchandise per company processes.
• Ensure merchandising standards, pricing, and signage are in place.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and cash handling integrity.
