Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide proper training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps for solutions or counseling.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events to ensure safety and policies.
• Open the store at least twice per week and close it at least twice per week.
• Evaluate operating statements to identify trends in sales, profitability and turnover.
• Review ordering plans and inventory management; follow up on stock replenishment.
• Facilitate stocking, product presentation and pricing accuracy.
• Maintain cashier accountability and store security procedures.
• Provide superior customer service leadership and a clean, safe store environment.
• Complete paperwork and documentation on time.
