You will manage inventory, cash controls and merchandising while delivering strong leadership at a fast-paced location. The position emphasizes staff development, safety, and operational excellence, with regular opening/closing duties

Qualifications

• Reading and interpretation of documents such as diagrams, safety rules, and procedures manuals.
• Basic math calculations including percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Operate IBM cash registers to generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination processes including legal compliance.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety policies (deposits, keys, SAFE program).
• Good organization with attention to detail.
• Problem solving and adaptability to varied situations.
• Bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred at some locations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure store staffing.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, identify gaps for solutions or counseling.
• Make recommendations regarding pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Ensure store is staffed and opened/closed daily.
• Personally open the store at least twice per week and close at least twice per week.
• Evaluate operating statements to identify trends, expenses, shrink, and errors.
• Order to meet in-stock targets; review ordering plan and inventory issues weekly.
• Facilitate efficient staging, stocking and storage of merchandise.
• Ensure merchandise presentation with pricing and signage.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and control damages and paperwork.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability and cash controls.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe store environment.
• Ensure store is equipped with tools to perform tasks.
• Follow SOPs and employee handbook; ensure compliance.
• Complete all paperwork by guidelines and deadlines.
