Job summary

Carter's Inc. is seeking a Store Manager to lead a team and deliver exceptional customer experiences across our baby and children’s apparel brands. You will coach staff, drive sales, and uphold Carter’s standards for service, quality, and inclusivity in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role emphasizes developing leaders, managing store operations, and executing omnichannel plans while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for families and customers alike.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of retail or related management experience leading direct reports.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Availability including days, nights, weekends and holidays with at least two closing shifts per week.

Responsibilities

• Build a talent pipeline through networking and recruiting; develop succession plans by training and developing your team.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive work environment for employees to collaborate and recognize performance to increase engagement.
• Grow leaders through providing direction, delegation, and investing in their development.
• Create a genuine customer focus on the sales floor by leading and directing the Leader on Duty program.
• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our product styles, features, and benefits.
• Build customer loyalty through coaching on the benefits of customer participation in our Loyalty programs.
