Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Store Manager in Training to assist the store manager in sales, operations, and team leadership. The program focuses on hands-on training for a future management position at another store or location.

You will supervise both professional and retail teams, participate in hiring and evaluations, and help drive safety, training, and KPI performance. Qualified candidates should have a High School Diploma, strong interpersonal skills, and knowledge of automotive

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma and strong interpersonal/leadership abilities
• Ability to read and match numerical and alphanumeric characters accurately
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems
• Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager in sales, appearance, and operations to support future management role
• Supervise professional and retail operations of store and team members
• Coordinate recruitment, training, evaluations, promotions, and disciplinary actions with district/store management
• Train new team members and conduct performance reviews; recommend pay increases
• Support safety training and compliance; monitor KPIs and daily dashboards
• Make sales calls and assist with customer communications as needed
• Maintain delivery fleet records and ensure store/HUB cleanliness and organization
• Review monthly P&L with store manager and discuss opportunities; monitor gross profit and price practices
