Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in daily operations, staff supervision, inventory, stocking, and store needs within our Tennessee location.

You will participate in recruiting, merchandising, cash handling, opening and closing duties, and ensure safety and good customer service while preparing for growth into the Store Manager role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Certain locations may give preference to bilingual Spanish speakers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and inventory management.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management, including damages, markdowns, register scanning, paperwork and controls.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Participate in store opening and closing activities.
• Ensure the safe deposit of all company funds.
• Assist in cash control and security practices.
• Operate store in store manager's absence.
• Review operating statements to identify trends and opportunities.
• Complete all paperwork and documentation on time.
