Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking candidates for Assistant Manager in Training to support store operations and develop toward a management position. You will supervise both professional and retail teams, assist in hiring, training, safety compliance, and daily operations.

You will also gain experience in scheduling, payroll, KPI monitoring, and P&L review, with a clear path to promotion based on performance and program completion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise professional and retail operations of store and team members.
• Coordinate recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining and discharging staff.
• Train new team members and conduct performance evaluations with pay considerations.
• Assist store manager and ensure safety compliance and training across teams.
• Support scheduling, payroll, and timekeeping using the electronic system.
• Monitor gross profit components, returns, price matching, and KPI dashboards.
• Review monthly P&L with the store manager and identify opportunities.
