O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Manager in training to support store leadership in sales, appearance, and daily operations in Bedford, Indiana. You will work closely with the store and district managers, develop team members, and participate in hiring and coaching to prepare for a future management role.

This program emphasizes hands-on training across professional and retail operations, with opportunities for growth, certification, and advancement within the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the professional and retail operations of store and team members involved.
• Recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining and discharging team members under supervision.
• Train new team members and conduct performance evaluations.
• Assist in the hiring process with recruiting tasks and interviews.
• Support store manager and safety compliance across store operations.
• Make sales calls with/without store manager and schedule weekly customer calls.
• Manage delivery fleet and keep records for each vehicle.
• Review monthly P&L with store manager and identify opportunities.
