Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts in Lowell, MA is seeking an Assistant Manager in training to support store leadership, sales, and daily operations. You will help supervise teams, drive customer service, and ensure safe, efficient store performance as you prepare for a management position at this location or another.

Qualified candidates bring a High School Diploma, strong interpersonal and leadership abilities, and the willingness to complete management training programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems.
• Spanish language skills highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the professional and retail operations of store and team members.
• Assist in recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining and discharging staff.
• Train new team members and conduct performance evaluations.
• Assist in scheduling and interviews, ensuring qualified hires.
• Support safety training and compliance across store operations.
• Make sales calls with or without the store manager.
• Oversee maintenance of delivery fleet and payroll/timekeeping systems.
• Review monthly P&L with store manager and identify opportunities.
