Job summary

Dollar General Store Manager Candidate is sought to assist the Store Manager with store processes, staff supervision, inventory control, receiving, and paperwork, for a limited period as a development path to a Store Manager role.

The role includes recruiting support, merchandising assistance, inventory control, cash handling, and upholding company procedures to maintain a safe, well-stocked store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Experience in retail is advantageous for external candidates.
• Familiarity with cash handling and POS reporting is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Support merchandising, staging, stocking, and pricing.
• Assist all aspects of inventory management and inventories.
• Follow ordering to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership.
• Open/close the store and supervise opening procedures.
• Ensure cash controls and deposit procedures.
• Operate store in the manager's absence.
• Analyze operating statements for trends and opportunities.
• Complete all required paperwork on deadlines.
