Dollar General Store Manager Candidate supports the Store Manager in executing store processes, including supervising employees, staffing, inventory management, stocking and receiving, and paperwork. This role is designed to develop an external candidate for the Store Manager position over a limited period.

The role involves assisting in recruiting, merchandising, inventory control, cashier accountability, and store operations to maintain in-stock targets and a safe, well-organized shopping

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposits.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and set up of merchandise.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and cycle counts.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Follow company policies and store procedures.
• Participate in opening and closing activities.
• Ensure cashier accountability and cash handling accuracy.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked stores and a safe environment.
• Operate store in the absence of the manager.
• Review operating statements for trends and opportunities.
• Complete paperwork according to guidelines.
