Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Thief River Falls, MN is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead store operations and a team of associates. You will recruit, train, and evaluate staff in partnership with district and store managers.

You will ensure safety training, manage schedules and payroll, monitor KPIs and profit, and maintain excellent store conditions while driving customer satisfaction and sales growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Completion of Assistant Manager Certification and Sales Specialist Training.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise store operations and team members.
• Recruit, test, hire, and evaluate staff with district and store managers.
• Communicate store meetings to team members.
• Train new team members and conduct evaluations.
• Assist in hiring: schedule and participate in interviews and collaborate with management to select qualified staff.
• Ensure safety training and compliance.
• Make sales calls and weekly customer calls.
• Maintain delivery fleet and keep records for each vehicle.
• Keep the store neat, clean, and organized; use scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll systems.
• Monitor gross profit, returns, and price overrides.
• Review KPI dashboards daily and discuss monthly P&L with the store manager.
