Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is hiring a full-time Store Manager in Training (MIT) for the Dallas store. The MIT will supervise 2–5 team members, lead onboarding, and conduct initial interviews when the manager is unavailable.

You will assist with ordering, inventory control, and scheduling while upholding brand standards. You must have at least 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail setting, POS systems familiarity, and be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail setting.
• Experience conducting in-person interviews of hourly staff.
• POS systems experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Word.
• Experience with an Applicant Tracking System.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when the Store Ops Manager is not present.
• Supervise, train, and coach 2-5 team members in cookie sales and deliveries.
• Lead onboarding and initial training for new hourly staff.
• Amid absence, conduct initial interviews for new hires (Cookie Crew, Shift Leaders, Delivery Drivers).
• Support ordering, inventory control, and staff scheduling with the Store Ops Manager.
• Ensure staff adhere to standards (baking, uniform, policies).
• Upsell and deliver exceptional customer service.

What will I do as a MIT with Insomnia Cookies?

• Perform as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when Store Ops Manager (GM) is not present.
• Supervise, train and coach 2-5 team members engaged in both cookie sales and customer deliveries.
• Lead new hourly staff onboarding and initial training.
• Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires (Cookie Crew, Shift Leaders and Delivery Drivers) in the manager’s absence.
• Support Store Ops Manager with ordering, inventory control and scheduling.
• Hold staff accountable to Insomnia Cookies’ standards (baking, uniform, company policies, etc.).
• Upselling and overall customer service excellence - Ensuring all team members are also upselling and providing the best customer service.

Desired skills/experience:

• At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or retail store
• Prior experience conducting in-person interviews of hourly support staff
• Prior Point of Sale (POS) systems experience
• Ability to utilize MS Office, Word and our Applicant Tracking System
• Ability to work a 4-5 day work week and 1-2 mid-to-late shifts throughout the latter part of the week (Thurs- Sun)
• Must be 18 years of age or older and have legal eligibility for employment in the United States
