Job summary

Insomnia Cookies, LLC is hiring a full-time Store Manager in Training (MIT) for the Dallas area. The MIT will supervise and coach a small team, conduct interviews, and assist with ordering and scheduling while learning store operations.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of supervisory experience in food service or retail, POS familiarity, and comfort using MS Office and ATS. Flexible Thurs–Sun scheduling and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail setting.
• Experience conducting in-person interviews for hourly staff.
• POS systems experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Willingness to work a 4–5 day week, including Thurs–Sun shifts, with 18+ eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when Store Ops Manager is not present.
• Supervise, train and coach 2–5 team members in cookie sales and deliveries.
• Lead onboarding and initial training for new hourly staff.
• Conduct initial interviews for potential hires in the manager's absence.
• Support Store Ops Manager with ordering, inventory control and scheduling.
• Ensure staff adhere to standards and provide excellent customer service.

What will I do as a MIT with Insomnia Cookies?

• Perform as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when Store Ops Manager (GM) is not present.
• Supervise, train and coach 2-5 team members engaged in both cookie sales and customer deliveries.
• Lead new hourly staff onboarding and initial training.
• Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires (Cookie Crew, Shift Leaders and Delivery Drivers) in the manager’s absence.
• Support Store Ops Manager with ordering, inventory control and scheduling.
• Hold staff accountable to Insomnia Cookies’ standards (baking, uniform, company policies, etc.).
• Upselling and overall customer service excellence - Ensuring all team members are also upselling and providing the best customer service.

Desired skills/experience:

• At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or retail store
• Prior experience conducting in-person interviews of hourly support staff
• Prior Point of Sale (POS) systems experience
• Ability to utilize MS Office, Word and our Applicant Tracking System
• Ability to work a 4-5 day work week and 1-2 mid-to-late shifts throughout the latter part of the week (Thurs- Sun)
• Must be 18 years of age or older and have legal eligibility for employment in the United States
