Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in implementing store processes, supervising staff, managing inventory, stocking, and maintaining store needs. The role involves developing an external candidate for the Store Manager position for a limited period.

The candidate will assist in recruiting, merchandising, inventory management, and ensuring cash controls, with a focus on operating statements, trends, and in-stock targets.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in a leadership or managerial position.
• Two or more years of experience in a retail grocery store strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit controls.

Mansioni

• Assists in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assists with store merchandising by facilitating and/or participating in staging, stocking and storage of merchandise; ensuring that merchandise is presented according to established practices and store manager direction; and properly utilizing merchandise fixtures, signing and pricing of merchandise.
• Assists in all aspects of inventory management (including proper execution of damages, markdowns, register scanning, paperwork and facility controls); prepare and conduct inventories.
• Follows prescribed ordering practices to ensure the meeting or exceeding of in-stock targets.
• Provides superior customer service leadership.
• Acts as a role model by following Company procedures and policies as outlined in the employee handbook, SOP manual and Company communications.
