Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Workshop Manager to support the store manager in all aspects of operations, ensuring excellent Guest service and effective staff management.

You will assist in hiring, lead shifts, drive sales, and maintain brand-standard merchandising while safeguarding store security and operational efficiency. This role emphasizes Guest experience and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2 years of store management experience in a customer-centric retail environment.
• High school diploma required.
• Basic understanding of store technology solutions (POS, scheduling, HRIS, time and attendance).
• 2–4 years of store management experience preferred.
• Associate's degree in business/management or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Workshop Manager with daily assignments and staff scheduling.
• Assist in hiring and promotion recommendations for staff.
• Lead shifts, model policies, and protect store security and cash handling.
• Drive sales through coaching and creating a strong Guest experience.
• Ensure displays and layouts meet brand standards.
• Oversee inventory receiving, stocking, and counts.
• Develop a high-performing team delivering excellent Guest experiences.
