Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop is seeking an Assistant Workshop Manager to support the store manager in all aspects of store operations, ensuring excellent Guest service, efficient staff management, and effective execution of sales and marketing strategies.

The role focuses on coaching Bear Builders, maintaining a positive Guest experience, and upholding store security, merchandising, and inventory procedures. A strong customer-centric mindset and leadership presence are essential.

Qualifications

2 years of store management experience in a customer-centric business.
High school diploma required; associate degree preferred in business/management.
Familiarity with POS, scheduling, HRIS and time/attendance systems.

Responsibilities

Assist the Chief Workshop Manager with daily assignments and staff direction.
Support hiring decisions and provide feedback on promotions.
Lead shifts, uphold policies, and enforce disciplinary actions when needed.
Drive sales by coaching employees to deliver an Experience First guest experience.
Ensure displays meet brand standards and maintain a welcoming store environment.
Oversee inventory processes, including receiving and stocking.
Develop a high-performing team delivering exceptional guest experiences.
