Columbia Sportswear Company in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Store Manager to lead day-to-day store operations, drive sales, and develop staff to deliver excellent customer experiences. The role supports profitability through effective staffing, staffing forecasts, and execution of promotions to grow the customer base.

The Store Manager will forecast staffing needs, build recruiting strategies, and maintain high store standards while fostering a positive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree, or applicable certification or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of functional experience.
• Experience managing individual contributors and a department or has acted as a lead.
• Strong problem-solving skills: ability to resolve technical, operational, and organizational problems and drive decisions that impact finances, efficiency, and effectiveness of the store.
• Skill operating a POS system, and various software packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team to develop, evaluate, and coach staff to maintain a high-level of service and quality to meet customer experience expectations.
• Inspire, educate, guide, and develop associates and keyholders to meet short and long-range growth plans and career paths within the store, field, and general office.
• Deliver operating budgets and manage expense control within division guidelines to deliver positive results and meet profitability expectations.
• Ensure accuracy of all functions related to store operations to include both Front and Back House Operations.
• Perform timely completion of all recordkeeping associated with applicants, new hires, payroll, performance reviews, coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels through effective replenishment, organization, shrink control, and communication.
• Communicate regularly with Area/District Manager providing relevant market information and employee successes and challenges.
