Job summary

Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking a Store Manager for California to direct daily operations, drive sales, and uphold brand standards while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

You will recruit, coach, and develop staff, manage budgets, control expenses, and ensure accurate recordkeeping and inventory integrity. Occasional travel and a flexible retail schedule are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree, or applicable certification or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of functional experience.
• Experience managing individual contributors and a department or has acted as a lead.
• Strong problem-solving skills: ability to resolve technical, operational, and organizational problems and drive decisions that impact finances, efficiency, and effectiveness of the store.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team to develop, evaluate, and coach staff to maintain high service and quality for customer experience expectations.
• Inspire, educate, guide, and develop associates and keyholders for growth plans and career paths.
• Deliver operating budgets and manage expenses within division guidelines to meet profitability expectations.
• Ensure accuracy of all store operations functions including Front and Back House Operations.
• Complete and maintain records related to applicants, new hires, payroll, performance reviews, coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
