Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Store Manager for its Culver City retail location. This role leads store operations, drives sales growth, and mentors staff to deliver excellent service to customers and donors.

You will manage inventory, coordinate with ARC program staff, and ensure safety and compliance across the store. A minimum of 3 years in retail supervision is required, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (some college preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisor/management experience in a retail environment (thrift experience preferred).
• Basic understanding of office applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Valid driver's license, pass a Motor Vehicle Record check, proof of insurance, and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Meet the sales and income budget while controlling expenses to maximize profitability.
• Direct day-to-day operations, including opening/closing, POS, inventory, and donations.
• Hire, train, and coach store employees; conduct evaluations and corrective actions as needed.
• Schedule staff for coverage; monitor payroll and attendance; run team meetings.
• Ensure high levels of customer and donor satisfaction and strengthen community relations.
• Oversee back room processing and inventory on the sales floor.
• Ensure security of currency, inventory, and property; incident reporting and safety compliance.
