Job summary

The Salvation Army ARC Santa Monica is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Culver City location. You will partner with the Store Manager to run daily operations, manage staff, and ensure exceptional customer service while meeting budget expectations.

Requires a high school diploma, at least 2 years of retail management experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass background checks. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years previous Retail Management/Supervisory experience (thrift preferred).
• Must hold a valid Driver's license and pass MVR/background checks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in day-to-day store operations and opening/closing procedures.
• Monitor KPIs to drive sales and profitability.
• Supervise staff, conduct payroll oversight, and coordinate daily team meetings.
• Ensure customer and donor satisfaction and maintain ARC merchandising standards.
• Support Back Room Processing and safety/compliance requirements.
