Job summary

Dollar General in Oregon is seeking a Store Manager to lead all store operations, including staffing, ordering, receiving, stocking, merchandising, and customer service.

You will supervise employees, ensure compliance with policies, manage payroll and training, and handle daily opening/closing while driving sales and maintaining inventory integrity. This role requires strong leadership and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to recruit, hire, and counsel employees in line with policy.
• Knowledge of inventory management, cash handling, and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees; ensures proper staffing.
• Provides training; conducts evaluations; addresses gaps with coaching or termination.
• Makes recommendations on pay rates and advancement.
• Manages opening and closing, and maintains a safe, clean store.
• Evaluates sales and inventory to identify trends and shrink opportunities.
• Orders to meet in-stock targets; monitors weekly planning and replenishment.
