Macy's Store Management Executive Development Program invites emerging leaders to rotate through sales, operations, and human resources, building skills to become a store manager. Participants gain visibility, responsibility, and hands-on experience in merchandising strategies and team leadership across major markets.

Placements are available in major markets nationwide, with the 2027 program beginning in August.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree encouraged; GPA 3.0+ required.

Responsibilities

• Build customer-focused teams and drive sales.
• Coach and develop a 10–20 associate team.
• Hire and develop talent; manage daily store operations.
• Analyze trends with the team to drive sales growth.
• Lead merchandising and visual execution for the store.
• Plan and execute initiatives to improve business performance.
• Exceed sales goals through strategy and growth opportunities.
• Ensure accurate promotional execution and signage.
• Gain exposure to HR and talent management functions (interviewing, hiring, scheduling).
• Prepare for leadership roles with continued development in service, operations and leadership.
