Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is hiring a Loss Prevention Specialist to protect people and merchandise at store entrances and across the sales floor.

You will greet customers, deter theft with a confident presence, and partner with store leadership to enforce safety and shrink-reduction policies. The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, 1 year of retail supervisory or loss prevention training, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including but not limited to, additional background screening, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers.
• Provides visible command presence and greetings at store entrances/exits and on sales floor.
• Removes clutter and ensures safe, clear egress to emergency exits.
• Delivers excellent customer service by greeting customers and answering questions.
• Supports Loss Prevention initiatives and partners with Store Leadership.
• Trains and educates Associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
• Represents Ross brand with professional appearance and conduct.
