Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a safe, secure store environment and deter theft at store entrances.

You will greet customers, monitor for suspicious behavior, and work with Store Leadership to ensure compliance with Loss Prevention directives. The role emphasizes visible command presence, strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to company policies within a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.

Responsibilities

• Provides visible presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor in a Ross vest, monitoring for safety issues.
• Remains alert to potential theft indicators and communicates with Store Leadership and Loss Prevention.
• Assists with compliance to Loss Prevention directives and minimizes operational shortage.
• Represents Ross brand with professional appearance and customer-facing interactions.
• Trains and educates Associates on shortage reduction initiatives and safety procedures.
