Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to serve at our store entrances and on the sales floor, ensuring a secure environment for customers and associates.

The role emphasizes visible presence, prompt response to safety and security issues, and collaboration with store leadership to minimize shrink and protect Ross's brand. Strong communication and prior loss prevention training are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required, AA degree preferred.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for associates and customers.
• Provide visible command presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Address safety issues and monitor for potential safety issues.
• Mitigate theft and fraud per Code 50 policy and loss prevention directives.
• Collaborate with Store Leadership to ensure compliance with Loss Prevention directives.
• Assist with minimizing operational shortage and train associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
• Represent the Ross brand with professional appearance and conduct.
• Other duties as assigned to support Loss Prevention initiatives.
