Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to deter theft and ensure a safe shopping environment.

You will maintain a visible presence at entrances/exits and on the sales floor, monitor for suspicious activity, and partner with Store Leadership to apply Loss Prevention directives. Ideal candidates have a High School education (AA preferred), plus prior retail supervisor or loss prevention training.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required, AA degree preferred.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers.
• Provide visible presence at entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Monitor for potential safety issues and theft indicators.
• Collaborate with Store Leadership to ensure Loss Prevention directives.
• Assist in minimizing operational shortage through training and processes.
• Support Loss Prevention initiatives as assigned.
