Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Richmond, IN seeks an Assistant Manager in training to support store operations and lead teams across professional and retail areas. You will participate in recruiting, onboarding, and safety training while contributing to KPI and P&L discussions.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma, strong leadership and multilingual abilities (Spanish preferred). Completion of certification programs and development tracks is required for progression.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems.
• O’Reilly store and/or distribution center experience.
• Completed O’Reilly management training program.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Supervise professional and retail operations of store and team members.
• Recruit, test, hire, evaluate, promote, discipline, and discharge team members.
• Train new team members and conduct performance evaluations.
• Assist in hiring processes and interviews.
• Support safety compliance and training across the team.
• Make sales calls and participate in weekly customer calls.
• Manage delivery fleet maintenance and records.
• Learn electronic scheduling, clocking, and payroll entry.
• Review KPI dashboards, monthly P&L with store manager, and opportunities for improvement.
