Job summary

7-Eleven in Newark, DE is hiring a Retail Assistant Manager to join our store leadership team. This Assistant Store Leader Trainee role offers full-time hours, hands-on coaching, and a fast-paced environment where you will grow into a store leader.

You will supervise team members, deliver excellent customer service, and help execute merchandising programs while promoting our loyalty rewards. Prior supervisory experience is preferred, and a high school diploma or GED is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Lead store employees and train/coaching alongside the Store Leader.
• Maintain high retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders and empowering employees.
• Assist in implementing merchandising and marketing programs.
• Cash handling, fuel transactions, and promoting loyalty program.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment following health/sanitation procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication and intrapersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel.
• HS diploma or GED preferred but not required with at least 1 year of Retail Management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching alongside the Store Leader for all store staff.
• Demonstrate strength in retaining team members by developing leaders and encouraging productivity.
• Assist in executing merchandising and marketing programs to drive sales.
