Job summary

99 Ranch Market is seeking a trainee supervisor at our Gaithersburg, MD location. The program runs 6–8 months with evaluations, after which you are assigned to a store to oversee the department SOP, product knowledge, planning, ordering, organization, and staff supervision.

Responsibilities include daily department operation, promotion planning with store management, inventory control, and ensuring a safe, clean workplace. Some travel between stores may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of related experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Able to lift 25+ lbs and stand for long periods.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; willing to relocate for training.
• Willing to travel between stores for training.
• Strong reading and interpretation of procedures and training materials.
• Fluent in speaking and writing; good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiar with inventory management programs, Microsoft Office, IT retail, or SAP.
• Authorized to work in the United States; 18+ years old.
• Bilingual English, Chinese, and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily department operations to meet company standards.
• Collaborate with store management to design and implement promotion plans and achieve sales targets.
• Maintain product displays, ensure freshness, and keep shelves stocked.
• Manage inventory movement using FIFO, rotate displays, and conduct physical counts.
• Coordinate staff schedules and attendance for department employees.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance reviews for team members.
