Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Manager in training to support the store manager in sales, appearance, and daily operations. The role focuses on gaining hands-on experience to prepare for a management position at another location.

You will participate in the Manager Development Program, assist in recruiting and training new staff, monitor safety, and help analyze store performance, P&L, and customer satisfaction while pursuing certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the professional and retail operations of store and team members.
• Assist in recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining and discharging team members.
• Train new team members and conduct performance evaluations.
• Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews.
• Support store manager by ensuring safety compliance and training across areas.
• Monitor staff safety expectations and KPI dashboards.
• Review monthly P&L with store manager and discuss opportunities.
