Job summary

Cumberland Farms in Groton, CT is seeking Managers In Training to learn store operations, leadership, and guest service at a fast pace. You will train with Store Managers and Supervising Managers, rotating shifts to understand our retail team, vendors, and guest experience.

This role feeds into bench leadership across Cumberland Farms' 1500+ sites. Responsibilities include greeting guests, building a strong team, ensuring stock, supervising food safety where offered, and handling transactions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year retail or food experience required.
• Leadership experience in retail, guest service or restaurant preferred.
• ServSafe / Food Safety certification a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm welcome and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Assist Store Manager with building a strong store team: training, scheduling, and coaching.
• Monitor stock levels and maintain 100% in-stock on the sales floor.
• Oversee quality control, merchandising, and food safety programs where hot food is offered.
• Operate the cash register efficiently and support store operations.
