Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Manager in Training to support store operations, sales, and customer service in Dedham, MA. This role provides hands-on training aimed at preparing you for a future management position across our stores.

You will work with the store team and district leadership on hiring, coaching, safety, and performance, with opportunities for career growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all team members assigned to store/HUB store.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and evaluate team members; ensure proper promotions.
• Communicate information from weekly/monthly meetings to the team.
• Train new team members.
• Handle performance evaluations and pay increases.
• Assist in hiring tasks and interviewing across management levels.
• Support store manager with safety training and operations.
• Monitor safety expectations.
• Manage delivery fleet and vehicle records.
• Keep store/HUB store neat, clean and organized.
• Oversee scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll.
• Learn to manage key components of gross profit.
• Review monthly P&L with store manager and identify opportunities.
