Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a proactive Assistant Manager to oversee professional and retail store operations. You will supervise team members, participate in hiring, training, and evaluating staff, and ensure safety and training standards are met. Bilingual abilities are encouraged to support a diverse customer base.

The role emphasizes leadership development, performance management, and contributing to store profitability through effective team management and process execution.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems.
• O’Reilly store and/or distribution center experience preferred.
• Completed O’Reilly management training program.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
• ASE Certification (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Supervise the professional and retail operations of store and team members involved.
• Recruit, test, hire, evaluate, promote, discipline and discharge team members under supervision.
• Train new team members and conduct performance evaluations; recommend pay increases.
• Assist in hiring by completing recruiting tasks and coordinating interviews.
• Support store manager and safety training across the team.
• Make sales calls and manage weekly customer outreach where assigned.
• Oversee store operations, scheduling, payroll and timekeeping.
