Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in training to assist the store manager in sales, appearance, and operations. The program aims to prepare you for a future management position at another location and includes bilingual considerations.

You will supervise professional and retail operations, participate in recruiting, training, scheduling, payroll, and performance evaluations, and contribute to safety and KPI monitoring.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills required.
• Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the professional and retail operations of store and team members involved.
• Recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining and discharging team members under supervision.
• Communicate information from meetings to all team members.
• Train new team members.
• Handle team member performance evaluations and recommend pay increases.
• Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks and conducting interviews.
• Support store manager and assistant management team to ensure safety compliance and training.
• Monitor safety expectations.
• Make sales calls with/without store manager; schedule weekly customer calls if assigned.
• Support store operations and delivery fleet maintenance; keep records for each vehicle.
• Ensure store/HUB store is neat, clean and organized; manage scheduling and payroll.
• Learn scheduling/timekeeping and payroll entry functions.
• Learn to manage gross profit and review KPI dashboards and monthly P&L.
