Job summary

Carter's, Inc. in Fresh Meadows, NY seeks an Assistant Store Manager to be the first face of our brand for growing families. You will lead by example on the sales floor, coach team members, and ensure unbeatable customer service across all touchpoints.

You will support recruiting and training, analyze KPIs, and partner with the Store Manager to execute merchandising and promotions while maintaining store standards and a welcoming, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of retail or related management experience.
• Strong leadership and customer engagement skills.
• Proficient communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Execute workforce management to ensure a genuine customer focus on the sales floor.
• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our great product styles, features and benefits.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for employees and customers.
• Coaching others to success and driving KPI performance with the team.
• Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, training and developing store staff.
• Plan, track, analyze, and report tasks and financial results using company tools.
• Partner with Store Manager on merchandising standards, promotions, and product placement.
• Reduce loss through exceptional service and operational controls.
