Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to direct all store operations and drive sales and efficiency. The role requires leading a team across departments, maintaining safety and sanitation, and delivering superior customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee inventory, staff development, and store performance in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring compliance with all company standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in business management/retail preferred.
• 1-3 years of retail experience; or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience leading both perishable and non-perishable departments with P&L, safety, staffing, and merchandising.
• Professional communication, attention to detail, analytical, solution-focused decisiveness.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, bookkeeping/accounting, time and attendance, and HR software.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends, holidays.
• Food Safety certification required.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds and push/pull 80-100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Direct all business processes at the assigned Sprouts store to drive sales and efficiency.
• Inspire and motivate a ~10-person team of Department Managers and Receivers.
• Lead store operations in absence of the Store Manager.
• Manage inventory, labor, and expenses to meet targets.
• Maintain compliance with safety and food safety standards and audits.
• Oversee invoicing from distribution centers and vendors; report discrepancies.
• Drive sales growth and store experience using Educate and Enrich standards.
• Ensure products are fresh, labeled, and priced; manage price changes.
