Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to direct all store processes, drive sales, and lead a team of department managers and receivers.

You will ensure excellent customer service, safety, labeling, and weights and measures compliance while maintaining strong store performance. The role requires strong leadership, P&L oversight, and the ability to manage both perishable and non-perishable departments in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in business management, marketing, retailing, communications, advertising, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of retail experience or an education/experience mix.
• Experience leading both perishables and non-perishables operations with P&L, safety, staffing, and inventory responsibilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, bookkeeping/accounting, time and attendance, and HR software.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Safety certification preferred.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds and push/pull heavy loads.

Responsibilities

• Lead a store team of ~10 Department Managers and Receivers with respect and integrity.
• Drive sales and customer service by modeling Sprouts values.
• Oversee store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Manage inventory, labor, and expenses to meet targets.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and compliance with laws and company standards.
• Develop leadership and performance through coaching and feedback.
