Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to direct all store operations, manage a team of about ten department leaders, and drive sales while maintaining safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of retail experience, a relevant degree or equivalent work history, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in business management, marketing, retailing, communications, advertising, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of retail experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, bookkeeping/accounting, time and attendance, and HR software.
• Food Safety certification.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds; push/pull 80–100 pounds; stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Direct store operations and drive sales, ensuring safety, labeling, and sanitation standards.
• Lead a team of ~10 department managers and receivers; develop leaders and maintain excellent customer service.
• Oversee inventory, invoicing, and backroom organization; manage P&L through labor and expense control.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations; communicate updates and complete training.
