Sprouts Farmers Market in Manassas, VA is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to direct all store operations, lead a team of managers and receivers, and drive sales while ensuring safety and quality. This role requires strong leadership, P&L awareness, inventory control, and the ability to train and motivate staff in a fast-paced environment.

The ASM will oversee both perishable and non-perishable departments, manage labor costs, and ensure adherence to federal, state, and company policies.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of retail experience or equivalent.
• Proven leadership of perishable and non-perishable departments.
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented and solution-focused.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and appropriate HR software.
• Flexible to nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a store team and ensure execution of programs and processes to drive sales and efficiency.
• Oversee all store departments, both perishable and non-perishable.
• Model Sprouts values and maintain safety, labeling, health, and sanitation standards.
• Provide feedback, coach leaders, and manage hiring decisions when needed.
• Maintain inventory, labor, and expenses to meet targets.
• Handle emergencies and resolve issues with urgency.
• Communicate policies and product knowledge across teams.
