Job summary

Friedmans Home Improvement is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Sonoma warehouse location. You will provide leadership to 20–40 Team Members, mentor staff, and ensure adherence to store policies and operational procedures.

This role emphasizes developing future leaders, coaching on product knowledge, and driving strong customer experiences while managing daily workflows and reporting. Weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a retail environment or equivalent
• Minimum mid-level management background with supervisory skills
• Experience leading and developing a team

Responsibilities

• Oversees departments of 20-40 Team Members
• Mentor Team Members in policies and product knowledge
• Guide staff to elevate customer experience and resolve opportunities
• Coach on product knowledge and operational procedures
• Manage opening and closing store duties
• Prepare and interpret sales and labor reports
• Hire, train, and develop new Team Members
• Direct daily workflow within the store
• Provide performance feedback and recognition
