Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Bakersfield, CA to direct all store operations, drive sales, and lead a team of department managers and receivers. You will ensure superior customer service and maintain safety and compliance standards in a fast-paced, fresh-food environment.

The role requires 21+ years of age, a high school diploma (business/retail degree preferred), and 1–3 years in retail leadership.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; business/retail degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of retail experience or equivalent.
• Proven ability to lead non-perishable and perishable operations with P&L, safety, sanitation, staffing, and training.
• Professional communication, detail-oriented, analytical, solution-focused.

Responsibilities

• Lead a store team of ~10 Department Managers and Receivers with integrity and care.
• Develop store leadership to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Oversee P&L, inventory, labor and expenses to meet sales targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, labeling, and sanitation standards.
• Provide coaching, performance feedback, and staffing decisions.
• Drive sales growth and store execution with top-item knowledge and department schematics.
