Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. in Traverse City, MI seeks a Key Carrier to support leadership in store operations. You will alternate duties with the Coordinator role, require open availability including nights and weekends, and model exceptional customer service.

You will coach Associates, ensure coverage, and adhere to policy while promoting safety and a positive shopping experience. This role requires retail experience and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Knowledge of company standard software, systems, and procedures.
• Proven problem solving skills.
• Capable of multi-tasking.
• Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• 1 year retail, 6 months leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
• Acts as Manager on Duty adhering to company policy and procedure
• Ensures store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with store plan; prioritizes as needed
• Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides appropriate coaching to Associates
• Exercises discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers
• Maintains accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience
• Ensures Associates adhere to all operational procedures
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned
