Job summary

Meijer in Michigan offers an 11-week Store Leadership Internship designed to build retail knowledge and expose participants to leadership opportunities. The program includes challenging projects, final presentations to senior executives, and an executive speaker series.

Interns convert to a full-time role through structured development programs and leadership rotations, with potential to earn six figures in salary/bonus and rapid leadership progression for high-potential individuals.

Qualifications

• Experiential program for students pursuing a Bachelor's degree.
• Ability to work flexible shifts to gain exposure to full store operations.
• Prior retail experience is preferred but not required.
• Past leadership roles in work or extracurricular activities are strongly preferred.
• Strong customer focus and drive for results.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to achieve sales and customer service goals.
• Ensure onboarding and training of new team members and adherence to Meijer standards.
• Maintain store appearance and optimize prime shopping hours and product presentation.
• Engage with customers and teammates to ensure exceptional service and safe work environment.
