Qualifications

• The Meijer Store Leadership Internship is designed for students enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
• Flexible shifts help exposure to full store operations.
• Retail experience is preferred; leadership in work or activities is strongly preferred.
• Focus on retail passion and a career in store leadership.
• Results orientation, customer focus and communication are important.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks with sound decision making.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive company image through courteous, friendly service.
• Support department in achieving sales, maintaining shrink, and managing P&L.
• Model fast, friendly customer service.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet service and sales goals.
• Mentor new team members and ensure onboarding and training completion.
• Spend most time in-store engaging with customers and team members.
• Promote a safe work environment and maintain attendance.
