Meijer offers an 11-week Store Leadership Internship designed to build retail leadership capabilities and expose participants to store leadership opportunities. Interns can convert to full-time roles with structured development programs and leadership rotations based on performance and leadership potential.

Participants may engage in challenging projects, executive speaker series, and professional development opportunities, with a path toward higher leadership roles within Meijer.

Qualifications

• The internship is designed for students enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
• Flexibility to work shifts to gain full exposure to store operations.
• Retail experience is preferred but not required.
• Past leadership roles in work or activities are highly regarded.
• Passion for retail and leadership development.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to achieve sales and service goals.
• Ensure a positive company image through courteous service to customers and team.
• Support department in achieving sales targets and manage daily activities.
• Provide onboarding and training support to new team members.
• Maintain store standards, product presentation, and prime shopping hours.
