Job summary

UDF-MyScoop Branding in Columbus, OH is seeking an Assistant Manager to ensure outstanding service and store operations aligned with The Hi Five Guest Experience. The role oversees staff, cashier and gas operations, and maintains store conditions to ensure guest satisfaction.

The position requires supervising associates, maintaining compliance with alcohol and tobacco laws, and performing daily administrative tasks, inventory, and safety checks during the shift.

Qualifications

• Must be legally qualified under state laws to conduct all sales transactions including alcohol and tobacco.

Responsibilities

• Managing other Associates: assign/monitor duties, coach The Hi Five Guest Experience, train Shift Leaders and Guest Services Associates.
• Store Administration: ordering, weekly delivery reports, product transfers, paperwork as directed by Store Manager or District Supervisor.
• Overall Guest Services: provide the Hi Five Guest Experience; greet Guests, ensure store is prepared, anticipate needs, and leave Guests satisfied to return.
• DipSide Guest Services: prepare shakes/malts, ice cream/yogurt cups/cones, sundaes, sodas and hand-packed containers.
• Efficient Operation of POS System and Gas Console: authorize and control gas sales, register transactions, handle payments and coupons.
• Stocking Merchandise: keep shelves and freezers filled, rotate stock and check dates.
• Security: monitor Guests to minimize theft, manage cash drops, vendor log-in, and follow Tobacco/Alcohol and Robbery/Violence Deterrence programs.
• Maintenance: ensure store and parking lot are clean and safe; monitor equipment temperatures.
• Reporting: complete time records and the Customer First Document.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with customers.
• Ability to operate store equipment including POS and gas console.
