Job summary

Dollar General seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations with a customer-first focus. You will support the Store Manager in scheduling, training, and merchandising, while ensuring cash handling integrity and store security.

This position involves cashiering, stocking, and driving profitability through efficient store practices. The role requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with willingness to open/close the store at least two days per

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
1 year of retail experience and 6 months supervisory experience preferred.
Strong customer service and cash handling abilities required.
Ability to operate cash register and scanner and generate reports.
Good organizational and communication skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

Provide superior customer service leadership; operate cash register and scanner.
Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
Assist Store Manager with scheduling, training, and safety meetings.
Manage merchandise: stocking, restocking, and displays; follow planograms.
Maintain accurate inventory; control damages and losses.
