Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist with supervision, merchandising, deposits, and store economics, while protecting assets and reducing losses.

Responsibilities include leading customer service, scheduling, training, and ensuring policy compliance. The role involves stock control, planograms, and supporting the Store Manager in their absence.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment.
• Six months supervisory experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet customers and operate cash register and scanner to itemize the purchase.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, providing training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise: receiving, unpacking, stocking, restocking and displays.
• Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and control damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and deposits.
• Assist in planograms implementation and merchandise presentation per Store Manager directions.
• Ensure cashier accountability, cash control procedures, refunds, and deposits; count tills.
• Assist with store management in the Store Manager's absence.
